Char Dham Yatra
The four most holy pilgrimages of Hindus in India- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Shri Kedarnath Ji and Shri Badrinath Ji , are collectively called the Char Dham of Hinduism. In short, Char Dham means the four most sacred pilgrimage centers of Hinduism. For centuries, Hindus do Char Dahm Yatra , a pilgrimage tour to the four most sacred pilgrimage centers, to wash away their sins. It is believed that Char Dham Yatra not only washes away one’s sins but is also a medium to attain MOKSH (release from the vicious cycle of birth and death).

Itinerary:

Day 01: Delhi-Haridwar
Early morning departure from Delhi to Haridwar by surface. It takes around 6hrs to reach Haridwar. Breakfast on
the way to Haridwar.
On arrival at Haridwar, check in at a hotel. Relax and Refresh yourself at the hotel during the day time. In the
evening attend the Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauriin Haridwar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Haridwar-Barkot
After breakfast leave for Barkot by road. Barkot is around 175 kms from Haridwar and it takes almost 7 hrs to
reach there. Barkot is famous for its divine beauty and panoramic views of snow-capped mountains surrounding
it. On arrival at Barkot, check in at a hotel. Day is free for you to relax or explore the city of on your own. Overnight
at hotel.

Day 3: Barkot-Yamunotri
After early morning breakfast, proceed to Janki Chatti. Janki Chatti is the base for 5kms trek to Yamunotri to visit
the Goddess Yamuna Temple, situated on the bank of River Yamuna. It takes around 3 hrs on an average to
reach the Temple at Yamunotri. Perform the rituals like a holy dip in the hot springs etc. In the evening return to
the hotel in Barkot.



Day 4: Barkot-Uttarakashi
After breakfast, proceed to Uttarakshi which is 110 kms from Barkot. It takes around 4 hrs to reach there. On arrival
at Uttarakashi, check in at a hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Uttarakashi- Gangotri
After early morning breakfast, drive to Gangotri which is approx. 100kms from Uttarakashi and takes around 3hrs
to reach there by road. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganga. River Ganga(Ganges)
is called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform the rituals and prayers. 
Spend Some time in the beautiful surroundings to relax yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. In the
evening return to the hotel in Uttarakasi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Uttarakashi- Srinagar
Early morning proceed to Srinagar in Uttarakhand. Srinagar is approx. 195kms from Uttarakashi and will
take around 8 hrs to reach. En-route you will come across New Tehri, Chamba and Kirtinagar. Enjoy the
excursion at New Tehri. On arrival at Srinagar, check in at hotel and spend the night there.

Day 7: Srinagar-Guptkashi
After early morning breakfast proceed for Guptkashi which is just 75 kms from Srinagar and takes 3 hrs to reach.
En-route enjoy excursion at Chopta, Mini Switzerland in India. Chopta is full with clouds all the 12 months. You
can even enjoy trek to Tungnath. In the evening check in at a hotel in Guptkashi. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Guptkashi-Kedarnath
Getup early in the morning and drive to Gaurikund (approximately 2hrs) which is 32 kms from Guptakshi.
Gaurikund
 is the base for 14 kms trekking to Kedarnath.You will reach Kedarnath late in the afternoon. En-route
have your packed lunch. On arrival at Kedarnath, check in at hotel in Kedarnath. Refresh yourself at the hotel
and relax a bit. Go for Darshan at Sri Kedarnath Ji and perform Pooja (prayers) and other rituals. In the evening
visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi at the back of the temple.Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Kedarnath- Guptkashi
After breakfast, leave for Guptkashi the same way you came. Check in at the hotel and relax and rejuvenate
yourself. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Guptkashi-Auli
Early morning after breakfast leave for Auli via Chopta, Joshimath. Auli is around 138kms from Guptkashi and
takes approximately 6 hrs to reach. Check in at a hotel in Auli and over-night at hotel. 

Day 11: Auli- Badrinath
After breakfast tour to Auli. After lunch proceed to Badrinath which is only 53 kms from Auli and takes 2 hrs to
reach. On arrival take holy Darshan of Shri Badrinath Ji. Explore and enjoy the visit to Mana village-last village
before Tibet border. Overnight at hotel in Badrinath.

Day 12: Badrinath-Srinagar
Early morning after breakfast leave Badrinath and proceed for Srinagar via Joshimath, Chamoli, Nandprayag, Karanprayag, and Rudraprayag. It will take around 7-8 hrs to cover the distance of 194 kms between Badrinath and Srinagar. Overnight at hotel in Srinagar.

 
Day 13: Srinagar- Haridwar
Early morning leave for Haridwar(129kms/3hrs). Check in at a hotel. Spend the day at leisure or visit Rishikesh. Overnight at Haridwar.

Day 14: Haridwar-Delhi
After breakfast leave for Delhi (214kms/6 hrs). The Char Dham Pilgrimage Tour concludes.
