Dharani India Dance Festival
dharani-kalotsav Dharani Dance Festival, popular known as Dharani Kalotsav, is organized every year by Society Dharani, a cultural organization based in Kochi, Kerala. 

Dharani School of Performing Arts was set up by Mrs. Shymala Surendran, an eminent dancer, in 1987 to create awareness for Bharat Natyam, Mohinyattam, Veena recital, Carnatic music etc. Society Dharani is a subsidiary of Dharani School of Performing Arts and was established in the year 2000. The main aim behind establishing the Society Dharani is to organize the performances of classical art forms by reputed dancers of India. The Dharani Society has been successful is its motive to bring awareness and appreciation for the well-preserved classical art of India. 

Dharani Kalotsav is celebrated every year for 5days. The festival starts on November 01, the day the state Kerala was formed. The platform of Daharni was been graced by Gems of India like Dr.Vyjayanthimala Bali, Dhananjayans, Padmabhushan Kalanidhi Narayanan, Padmabhushan Amala Shankar Maya Rao, Dr. Kunnakudi Vyadyanathan, Ustaad Zakir Hussain, Malavika Sarukkai, Priyadarshini Govind, Anita Ratnam, Rajendra and Nirupama, Sridhar and Anuradha.
