Ellora Ajanta Dance Festival Ellora Ajanta Dance Festival as the name suggests is held in the city of Ajanta and Ellora caves, Aurangabad. Ajanta and Ellora are the landmarks of India. Caves of Ajanta and Ellora are the two most alluring tourist destinations of India. Earlier the Ellora Ajanta Dance Festival used to be held in the surrounding of the world Heritage Site – the Temple of Ellora. Just 30 kms from the main city Aurangabad in Maharashtra, Ellora consists of 34 caves. Discovered between 600-1000A.D., the caves belong to Buddhist, Jain and Hindu faiths. Kailash Temple, the masterpiece of Ellora is the world’s largest monolithic sculpture till date. It took 150 years and hard work of 7000 laborers to sculpt out the Kailash Temple.
