Soorya India Dance Festival
konark Soorya Dance Festival is another Indian Dance Festival. The festival is held every year in Thiruvananthapuram in October every year. This Indian Dance Festival is a sum of different spectacular dance festival. Soorya Dance Festival enjoys a special place among all Indian Dance Festivals. It not only portrays the cultural Heritage of the region but of India as a nation. The famous Soorya Dance Festival is organized by Soorya Stage and Film Society, one of the largest cultural societies of Asia. Audience gets the chance to witness different dance performances of Indian Classical Dances- Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharathanatyam, Kathakali, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam and enjoy classical music renditions, instrumental music, jugal bandhi's etc by popular artists. 

Well-known dancers and musicians from all over the country come to participate in Soorya Dance Festival. Some famous artists who performed here are- Padma Subramaniam, Alarmel Valli, Chitra Viswesvaran, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Rajendra-Nirupama, Ustad's Allah Rakha, Amjad Ali Khan, Bismillah Khan, Zakir Husain, Balamuralikrishna, Bhimsen Joshi etc.
