Located at a latitude of 18.o5496° ’ N and a longitude of 72.o4982°' E, the Seven Islands of Bombay underwent severe reclamation for three centuries before getting converted into one united landmass. This group of islands, located on the western coast of India, has come to be known as Mumbai.

This land originally a fishermen's village kept on changing hands from one to another empire for as long as two millenniums. It was later during the maritime trade period that the British rulers decided to convert this natural trade harbor into a planned city.

And it was there that these islands together referred to as Mumbai today started undergoing various developmental changes. And And iin these 400 years since then, the city has grown into a fast paced metropolitan which is also known as 'The City of Dreams'.

Despite its being a seismically active zone, Mumbai lies just south of the Tropic of Cancer. Serving as a rich and natural trade harbor, the city is separated from by the mainland by a wide bay.
