Day 01 Arrival Guwahati
Meeting on arrival at Guwhati and transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Evening visit the Shankardev Kalashetra - a cultural center with a fine desposition of the art and culture of the people of Assam. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 02 Guwahati–Jorhat
After breakfast drive to Jorhat (300kms/7hrs). Lunch enroute at Kaziranga. Reach Jorhat late afternoon and check in at Thengal Manor - a heritage house. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03 Jorhat – Majuli Island
After early breakfast drive to the river front (20kms/45mins) at > Nematighat to board a ferry to cross the mighty Brahmaputra to Majuli island (2 hrs approx.). Reach in the afternoon. Check in at your Guest House (basic). Evening visit the Monasteries. Overnight stay at Monastery Guest House OR Similar.
Day 04 In Manjuli Island
Full day at Majuli - explore the river island - interface with the tribes inhabiting the island and the various satras (monasteries) there. Enjoy a cultural programme in the evening. Overnight stay at Monastery Guest House OR Similar.
Day 05 Manjuli Island - Guwhati
After early breakfast transfer to board ferry to cross to the mainland and drive onwards to Guwahati (320kms/7hrs). Reach in the evening and stay overnight at Landmark Hotel.
Day 06 Departure Guwhati
After a leisurely breakfast visit the Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms/30mins). After visit departure transfer to the airport to board flight to onward destination.
